OUR PASTORAL COUPLE AT RIVER CORNER CHURCH

Katie and Jeff, with their daughters Naomi, Anneli and Emily.

Katie and Jeff McLain have served at River Corner Church since April 2022. They have been married for over seventeen years. However, their stories begin on opposite coasts. Katie was born in the deserts of the Imperial Valley and then raised in the Orange County sunsets of SoCal. After high school, Katie decided to see how the right coast lives and hopped from the left coast to attend college in South Central Pennsylvania.

In Pennsylvania, Katie fell in love with the beauty, cities, boardwalks, and history of the East Coast. While eating at a vintage Silver Line diner on the East Coast with some friends,  Katie and Jeff unexpectedly crossed paths. It was love at first sight, and their story began there. Since that moment, the two have experienced a vast array of adventures and have been able to call several places home, before they settled back in Pennsylvania to raise three beautiful and wonder-filled daughters. Jeff, Katie, and their three wander-filled daughters are avid fans of road trips, baseball, boardwalks, beaches, and books.

Jeff, our pastoral leader, is currently a doctoral student at Kairos University. He is also finishing a third master's degree, an MBA in Executive Leadership, at City Vision University. He also has earned two master's degrees - one in Theology and Ministry and another in Leadership from Fuller Seminary. Jeff also holds a Graduate Certificate in Non-profit Management and an Associate Degree in Christian Ministry & Leadership from City Vision University. In addition to serving River Corner Church, Jeff serves full-time as the Director of Pastoral Ministries at Water Street Mission. In addition to over 13 years of pastoral ministry, Jeff has enjoyed event promotion, leadership coaching, blogging, and podcasting.

Katie serves in the role of pastoral care at River Corner Church. For over sixteen years, Katie had been previously involved in early childhood education. She holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northampton Community College, where she made the Dean's List each semester and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. These days, she works the deli at Wawa in East Petersburg.
