I’m Jeff McLain, and I’ve had the joy of serving as the pastor of River Corner Church since April 1, 2022. We’re a simple, Spirit-led community of Jesus followers committed to Jesus—and to one another.
In addition to pastoring here, I also serve as the Director of Pastoral Ministries at Water Street Mission. I’m happily married to Katie McLain and the proud dad of three amazing daughters.
I’m currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry, where my research focuses on the practical implications of the Lord’s Prayer. You can also find me writing on the Lead a Quiet Life blog on Patheos, at JeffMcLain.com, or co-hosting the Discovering God Podcast.
Let’s pursue a quiet life together.
We gather just outside of Lancaster in the quiet countryside of Conestoga, PA. Our church building is nestled in the hills at 524 River Corner Road, just minutes from Millersville, Pequea, and Safe Harbor.
We’re a small and growing community of everyday people—singles, couples, families, and friends—who come from all across Lancaster County. What brings us together is a shared desire to follow Jesus in a humble, honest, and Spirit-led way.
Expect to be welcomed as you are. We’re informal, intergenerational, and Spirit-led. You don’t have to dress up or fit a mold—just come ready to encounter God in a peaceful, grounded environment.
Our Sunday worship gathering begins at 10:00 AM. We read Scripture, sing, share together, and create space for the Holy Spirit to move. We value participation, reflection, and prayer. Sometimes it’s structured, sometimes it’s more free—but always centered on Jesus.
We try to live out the way of Jesus in everyday life—without hype, performance, or pressure. For us, “simple” means focusing on worship, community, and spiritual formation in a way that feels grounded, relational, and Spirit-led.
Yes. We regularly celebrate the Lord’s Table, usually on the third Sunday of each month, though the schedule can occasionally shift. It’s a meaningful and reflective part of our worship, open to all who are seeking to follow Jesus.
Our worship gatherings typically last around 75 minutes. Partway through, we pause for a 10-minute break to share coffee, connect, and build community before continuing with Scripture and prayer. On most first Sundays, we enjoy a church-wide potluck after the service—visitors are always welcome to stay and share a meal with us.
Yes! We offer a Kingdom Kids gathering for children Pre-K through 6th grade during the Scripture and teaching portion of our worship. Kids begin the morning upstairs with everyone else and are invited to head downstairs partway through the gathering. Youth in 6th grade and above are encouraged to stay upstairs and participate with the broader church community.
